Spicey Turkey and Blue Cheese Burgers

Spicey Turkey and Blue Cheese Burgers

Recipe Instructions
The combination of this burger will blow your mind! A mix of flavors that pack a punch.
Grab some fresh buns (we recommend Ciabatta), and have all of your favorite burger toppings ready to go (one of our faves is avocado and mayonnaise). All of these delicious flavors are bought together with our Rum BBQ Smoking Pellets.
2 pounds of ground turkey
2 tablespoons of blue cheese
1 whole jalapeño, seeded and chopped
2 Tablespoon parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 tablespoon powdered onion
Salt and pepper to taste
Maclean’s BBQ Rum Smoking Pellets
In a bowl combine the ground turkey, blue cheese, chopped jalapeños, parsley, garlic, powdered onion, salt, and pepper. Form into 5-6 oz patties (you will end up with 5 burgers).
Pre-heat your grill to 500℉. Add pellets to the grill (over charcoal), wait until they are smoking, and then place patties directly on the grill grate and cook for around 5-7 minutes. Flip the burgers and cook for a further 5-7 minutes more or until internal temperature reaches 165℉. Remove from grill and set aside.
Construct your burger and enjoy the finished product!!!
Can I use your chips and pellets on a gas barbecue?
Yes, you can, and they work great. You can use a smoke box, an aluminum tray, or an aluminum foil pouch. Just fill with dry chips or pellets and place them on the barbecue grill as shown in our instructional video.
